Eleitão or El. is the artistic name of Eduardo Soares Pereira Leitão. He was born at Figueria da Foz. A self-taught artist, he created the course in Industrial Graphic Art with Martins Correia and Álvaro Perdigão, professors of design and modelling. He was a model designer at Casa da Moeda (I.N.C.M.).
His name appears in diverse art publications, periodicals and magazines. He is a member of several art associations like Quadrante, GART and Artur Bual Art and cultural association. He has participated in more than one hundred art exhibitions, and has won several prizes. After retiral, he is dedicating his time to his painting.
